In situ fabrication of layered double hydroxide film immobilizing gold nanoparticles in capillary microreactor for efficient catalytic carbonylation of glycerol

Microreactor is capable of intensifying catalytic reaction processes. The fabricating film inside microchannels for remains a challenge. Here we report facile method in situ fabrication layered double hydroxide (LDH) immobilizing gold nanoparticles capillary microreactor. Through adjusting the condition hydrothermal crystallization process and flow deposition microchannel, thickness, morphology Au loading Au/LDH coating can be finely controlled. Such microchannel exhibited good performance carbonylation glycerol with urea. yield carbonate reached 31.9% at rate 10 µl/min, residence time 6.62 min temperature 413 K under atmospheric pressure. maximum productivity 3.78 g?h?1?g?1 was obtained 40 µl/min 1.65 same Continuously running microreactor 30 h proved high stability this microchannels. This approach could extended to fabricate other diatomic triatomic metal LDH films heterogeneous catalysis.
